RF / Electronics Engineer

We are seeking an Electronics Engineer who is excited by the opportunity to make a significant contribution towards the company’s continuing success.
The successful applicant will be involved in the full product lifecycle and require the ability to work at all levels of design process including requirements capture and specification, detailed schematic design and simulation, component layout, prototyping, testing and debugging. A hands on approach and a willingness to contribute in other areas of business including customer and supplier facing activities, should need arise, is essential.
Typical technologies used:
CPLDs, FPGAs and microcontrollers, Interfacing and Communications (Ethernet, USB, RS485, RS232, SPI, I2C), Power supplies, RF electronics (Pin diodes, Amplifiers, Switches, 100MHz to 100GHz).
The successful applicant will be a key member of the small but growing engineering team, based at the company’s Winchester (Hampshire, UK) office.
Skills and Experience
You should be able to illustrate experience in a similar role where you will have been involved in the full lifecycle of new product development. A sound knowledge of electronics is expected. Experience of RF / antennas would be advantageous as would knowledge of EMI, EMC and designing for harsh environments. Any additional experience with C/C++, VHDL or PC programming will be beneficial, as would ATE and production test.
The applicant should have a keen eye for detail, with an ability to plan, organise, prioritise and work to demanding timescales. Typically, the team will be handling multiple fast moving projects simultaneously.
PC proficiency including the use of Microsoft Office software is a pre-requisite for this position. Good communications skills in both oral and written English are required. Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK.
Education & Qualifications
A degree in electronic or electrical engineering or similar discipline.
